Welcome to art @ Shirley Greenwood

My story

I have always desired to become an artist.  In grade school, I pushed to better my drawings so much so that in 5th grade my design on a poster became popular.  During the following decades proved to fine-tune and hone in on skills.  By the late 90’s, a pastel course open the eyes to distinguish depth and color.  The results motivated the following creative works in the portfolio.

When I was a little girl, I used to stare at the stars and wonder what lied beyond.  My curiosity about the sky and natural surroundings, guided me to explore different avenues of life.  Life brought about difficult choices with so much to enjoy.  Hence there is a passion to explore the beauty and surrounding nature of the world.

I believe each person exhibits value and that value whether large or small portrays and combines unique understandings. To reach out and touch someone, compels and contributes for peace.  The wisdom from above states view “others as superior.” - Philippians 2:3.  Being human, this tends to be difficult.  However, if everyone applied that simple truth, would this not be a better world.  Think about it!

One grows by leaps and bounds as an artist.  The reason behind this thought is that an artist sees below the surface and never takes things at face value.  These and many more are lessons that life brings when one decides to expand and fly with wings.

Some choose to pursue wealth and fame. For others, it is acquiring knowledge and experience. Our Creator blesses us with freedom of choice and provided many roadways and gifts to decide from.  First and foremost I beam with gratitude and phrase toward Him.  Then and only then learning afresh is only a beginning.  I invite you to come, now, and explore pages from this site . . .
